The Up-Lock Paciflo is a supervised, awake-time training pacifier designed to encourage healthy oral posture in babies and toddlers: lips closed, tongue up against the palate and breathing through the nose. Created by orthodontist Dr. Sandra Kahn, co-author of Jaws: The Story of a Hidden Epidemic.
Not a regular pacifier
The Paciflo works as a feedback tool for parents. Its design lets you see whether your baby is holding gentle suction inside the mouth, a sign that the tongue is resting in the right position. It is meant for short, supervised sessions while your baby is awake.

Why oral posture matters
How babies hold their lips and tongue at rest is part of how the mouth and face develop. The Paciflo gives parents a simple way to observe and encourage that posture from the first months.
Important safety information
- Do not use during sleep. For awake, supervised use only.
- Choking hazard: this product has small parts that can detach. Babies and children can choke on detached parts.
- An adult must supervise at all times during use.
- Inspect the pacifier before every use. Discard it at the first sign of damage or weakness.
